About Web Designing

Aesthetics and a profound base of html, css and bootstrap - these are the key to winning this notoriously challenging competition! The competition will not only test your designing skills and ability to use tools with considerable ease, but also your command over web-development languages and level of expertise in layout design while working for a firm. A web designing competition is an optimum platform to shape your skills in the moulds of technical awareness. Those among you who have a knack for creating compelling web designs with an additional competence of rendering the essence of the theme in their websites, are bound to excel in this competition.

Web designing at ITEC’16 is bound to instil in you a sense of art with professionalism. Let the fun begin.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The team should consist of minimum one and maximum of 3 participants.
  • The participant must be enrolled as an undergraduate in any recognized Institute/University.
  • The participant should not be affiliated with organizing or management of this event.

Rounds and Durations

  • You will have to design a template that revolves around a specific scenario or storyboard.
  • You will have 1 hour to complete the task.

  • Logo (will be provided)

Rules and Regulation

  • Minimum 3 pages are to be designed. Extra pages will lead to bonus points (out of these two will be compulsory like home page, contact us/about/ services page etc.). JQuery is allowed
  • Internet, USBs, and laptops are not allowed
  • All Task relevant images will be provided.
  • Responsive website will lead to bonus marks.
  • The decision of judges will be final and cannot be challenged.
  • Participants must bring their University ID Card.
  • Students suspected of cheating, in the judge's estimation, will be disqualified and asked to leave.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Pertinence and Accuracy of content.
  • No. of pages designed.
  • Proper use of CSS and HTML.
  • Visual appeal and style of the website.
  • Effective navigation and working links.
  • Effective use of multimedia content.
  • Compulsory requirements of website are fulfilled or not.
