About Mobile Application Development

We love our mobile applications. Some of them define us. Some complete us. Some just make life a lot easier. But it sure gets hard sometimes to pick the best from the pool of brilliant applications. That is why we produced the Mobile application development competition, to bring to the market the best of the new breed of mobile apps. This summer, ITEC'16 invites all the proficient and adept developers and coders from all over Pakistan to enkindle the stage of Mobile application development through their striking deftness, to carve and shape their innovative and rattling ideas in order to make a breakthrough and to code for the good of humans in order to enable them to rule their world through their fingertips. It aims to encourage students to identify new problems in the society and propose a possible fix for them on the mobile platform. Simultaneously, developing their engineering, social and team skills. Consequently letting them emerge as more competitive than ever in the IT market.

Eligibilty Criteria

  • The team should consist of maximum 3 participants.
  • The participant must be enrolled as an undergraduate in any recognized Institute/University.
  • The participant should not be affiliated with organizing or management of this event.


The participants must have enough knowledge of any of the following tools:

  • Eclipse for Android
  • Visual Studio


  • Android
  • Windows

Rules and Regulation

  • There will be only 1 round.
  • You will be given scenario, and you have to make mobile application relevant to that.
  • The team has to complete task in 1.5/2 hours.
  • Participants of each platform will be given the same scenario.
  • Any kind of device will not be allowed during competition.
  • Once the competition start no participant can leave the room. If any participant leaves he cannot continue the competition.
  • The decision of judges will be final and cannot be challenged.
  • Participants must bring their University ID Card.
  • Students suspected of cheating, in the judge's estimation, will be disqualified and asked to leave.
  • Use of Internet is allowed but for reference purposes only. Participants will be disqualified if found copying their prior work.

Evaluation Criteria

  • User friendly user interface.
  • Flexible features and design.
  • Use of database will lead to bonus marks.
  • Standards in design should be followed.
